"Pre-shot routine"
Train a pre-shot routine to get a good setup and stance
according to the ball. Important parts of the pre-shot
routine is to aim and set up correctly to the ball to
be able to perform the best possible shot. A flaw or
weakness in the setup means the swing has to compensate
with another flaw or weakness to make the ball go where
it's supposed to. Most often a correction in the setup
will make an error in the swing disappear and correct
itself.
Do the same thing every time.
Practice a routine that fits you and you feel secure
with.
Strive for having the same routine every time you set
up and always set up correctly according to the target.
If you change something in your routine for a special
shot you don't have to worry about missing, but one
has to be a little flexible.
If you're not sure on the aim or the set up to the ball
you should start over. The most important thing is to
go for doing the exact same thing every time and rock
your way into a calm sence of security so that you can
focus on the target. If you always focus on the target
your results will keep improving.
